1. Who we are
Bucketick ("Bucketick", "we", "us", or "our") runs the Bucketick website and the Bucketick app: a place to collect dreams, chase goals together, and keep the memories once you pull them off. This policy explains what information we handle when you visit bucketick.com or use our product, and what you can do about it.
2. Information we collect
We keep this deliberately small. Depending on how you use Bucketick, this can include:
- Information you give us. Your email address when you join the waitlist, and the account details, bucket list items, photos, and notes you add once the app is live. You choose what goes in. A list stays private unless you decide to share it.
- Information collected automatically. Basic usage and device data such as your browser type, approximate region, pages viewed, and how you found us. This helps us understand what is working and what quietly annoys people.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Small files that remember your preferences and let us measure traffic. More on those below.
3. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Run, maintain, and improve the Bucketick website and app.
- Send you the one waitlist email you actually asked for, and important service notices.
- Understand how people use the site so we can make it better and less cluttered.
- Keep the service secure and prevent abuse, spam, and fraud.
We do not sell your personal information. We are building a bucket list app, not a data brokerage.
4. Cookies and analytics
Bucketick uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site running smoothly and to measure how it is used. Some are essential (they make the site work). Others are analytics cookies that help us count visitors and see which pages matter.
We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Google Analytics may set cookies and process usage data on our behalf. You can learn more from Google's Privacy Policy, and you can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings, though a few preferences may stop sticking if you do.
5. How we share information
We share information only in a few limited situations:
- Service providers. Trusted companies that help us run Bucketick, for example analytics, hosting, and email delivery. They may only use the data to do their job for us.
- Legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Bucketick and its users.
- Business transfers. If Bucketick is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be part of that transfer. We would tell you first.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we are legally required to keep it longer.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message. To make a request, just email us at hello@bucketick.com and we will help.
8. Children's privacy
Bucketick is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Bucketick grows. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use Bucketick after an update means you accept the revised policy.
